The objective of this course is to enable learners to use English fluently in informal and formal situations. On completing the course, learners will have seen ways to express opinions, describe feelings as well as studying examples of how to defend arguments using more advanced vocabulary and structures.
The first two units of this course review the language necessary to be able to introduce people and oneself as well as hold conversations with peers and friends in English about the most common topics. The exercises review some essential grammatical structures needed to converse with confidence, tell anecdotes and be aware of the differences between formal and informal language. The conversation units also include interactive classes where the learner will have the opportunity to use the language covered in order to give their response to different questions.
The third and fourth units focus on starting, outlining and ending presentations. Learners will revise expressions to use during these different parts of presentations, as well as to deal with questions and refer to visual aids such as graphs and charts. There are also examples of different public speaking situations with more useful expressions.
The final unit deals with the language used to debate topics and provides examples of people debating in different situations. The last section also shows a range of language to deal with this type of interaction appropriately, as well as including an interactive class to review the structures presented.

La Modalidad ONLINE se adapta a las características y necesidades de cada
alumno, combinando las metodologías de enseñanza programada y de trabajo autónomo
por parte del alumnado con el asesoramiento de un equipo docente especializado y
mediante el uso de las nuevas tecnologías de la información y comunicación, creando un entorno de aprendizaje
activo, próximo y colaborativo en el Campus Virtual, disponiendo de los mejores recursos en un
mismo entorno educativo.
- ENSEÑANZA PROGRAMADA: Persigue transmitir los conocimientos al alumnado sin la
intervención directa de el/la formador/a, a través de la organización y estructuración de los contenidos de
forma secuencial. La realización periódica de ejercicios y pruebas de autoevaluación permiten afianzar lo
aprendido y corregir los posibles errores en el aprendizaje.
- TRABAJO AUTÓNOMO: Sistema de trabajo donde el alumno asume la responsabilidad de su proceso
de aprendizaje, adaptándolo a su ritmo de trabajo y a sus propias necesidades, lo que exige una mayor implicación
por su parte.
Las acciones formativas están diseñadas para propiciar el fomento de las habilidades, conocimientos y experiencias
relevantes para el desarrollo profesional dentro del ámbito de la temática del curso.
El material didáctico objeto fundamental del proceso de enseñanza, estará disponible en el Campus de manera ordenada y
en los formatos más idóneos para ajustarlos a las especificaciones del curso. Cada alumno debe trabajarlos de manera
autónoma dedicando un tiempo que dependerá de las necesidades individualizadas de cada uno de ellos.
